We started early, the air crisp, eager to tackle its pitches. Each section presented its own unique character, from delicate slabs to more athletic crack climbing. The exposure was exhilarating, especially on the airy traverses, and the views over the rolling hills of Lower Austria were simply spectacular. Reaching the summit after hours of focused climbing with my partner, a true sense of accomplishment washed over us. The descent, often a series of careful abseils, was just as much a part of the adventure.
