Our recent adventure took us to 'Versteck,' a subtly named climbing area that truly lives up to its 'hidden' reputation. Our goal was the 'Anfängerweg,' a grade 3- route, ideally suited for those looking to build confidence or simply enjoy a less demanding ascent. The climb itself was a delightful experience. The rock offered positive holds and intuitive moves, making the 3- grade feel approachable and fun rather than intimidating. There were sections that required careful footwork, but never anything overly exposed or strenuous. Reaching the top was incredibly rewarding, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape – a perfect reward for our efforts. The descent was a controlled abseil, smooth and efficient, bringing us back to the base with a sense of accomplishment and renewed appreciation for the simplicity and beauty of climbing.
