Sandmann

Climbing 'Sandmann' (grade 7) in the magnificent Ennstal Alps was an unforgettable experience. This route presented a fantastic challenge on the excellent limestone, offering varied climbing from technical sections to more sustained, pumpy pitches. All of this was set against breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Every move felt exposed yet secure, a testament to the quality of the rock and the meticulous bolting. Reaching the summit, tired but exhilarated, with the vast alpine landscape stretching out beneath, was a pure moment of triumph. 'Sandmann' is definitely a route I'll recommend to anyone looking for a classic Ennstal challenge.
