Climbing "Route: 8" (Grade 5) in Gschöss/Penken Sektor 1 was a fantastic experience. The rock was generally solid, offering good holds, although some were a bit polished in places, a testament to its popularity. The crux move was definitely reaching for that high crimp about halfway up – required a good bit of body positioning and commitment. The exposure was manageable, enough to keep you focused but not overly intimidating. The overall route felt well-protected, with bolts placed in sensible locations. A great climb for anyone comfortable with the grade, offering a satisfying mix of technique and power. Definitely recommend it for a sunny afternoon in the Penken area!
