Soulsearch

Climbing "Soulsearch" (grade 7-) in the Gutenstein Alps was a truly memorable experience. The route, nestled in the rugged landscape, demanded both technical prowess and mental fortitude. The rock was generally solid, but required careful footwork and precise hand placements to navigate the crux sections. The exposure added an extra layer of intensity, with stunning views of the surrounding valleys serving as a constant reminder of the height. Overcoming the challenges of the route, especially the powerfully crimped crux, provided a deep sense of accomplishment. It wasn't just a physical ascent, but also a journey inward, testing my limits and reinforcing my love for climbing in wild, beautiful places. The descent was relatively straightforward, allowing ample time to soak in the atmosphere and reflect on the rewarding battle with "Soulsearch".
