Climbing 'Schlüsselerlebnis' (7-) on the Hohe Wand was a truly memorable experience. The route itself is a classic of the area, offering a demanding but rewarding climb. The crux (Schlüsselstelle) lived up to its name, requiring precise footwork and powerful crimping on small holds. The exposure on this part of the route was exhilarating, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape unfolding below. Above the crux, the climbing eases slightly, but still demands attention and stamina to reach the anchor. Reaching the top felt like a real accomplishment, a testament to the effort and focus required. The descent was straightforward and safe, allowing me to reflect on the climb and soak in the beauty of the Hohe Wand. It's a route I would highly recommend to any experienced climber looking for a challenging and rewarding experience in a fantastic setting.
