Über den Weiten Midgards

Climbing "Über den Weiten Midgards" (grade 4) on Hohe Wand is a classic experience. The route offers beautiful exposure without being overly demanding technically, making it a perfect introduction to multi-pitch climbing in the area. While the climbing is generally straightforward, good route-finding skills are essential, especially in the middle section. The rock quality is mostly solid, but be aware of some loose rock, especially on the ledges. The views from the top are spectacular, rewarding the effort with a panoramic vista of the surrounding Austrian landscape. Remember to bring appropriate gear, including a helmet, harness, rope, and quickdraws, and always check the weather conditions before heading out.
