The allure of 'Legendre' (5+) at Lipová skála had been calling for a while. This classic route, etched into the prominent sandstone formation, promised a challenging yet rewarding ascent. Lipová skála, with its characteristic rough sandstone and picturesque surroundings, always offers a special atmosphere. The approach through the forest only built the anticipation. Standing at the base, the first few meters felt deceptively straightforward, but the '5+' grade soon made its presence felt. The climbing on 'Legendre' is beautifully sustained, demanding precise footwork and confident hand placements on the often-rounded sandstone features. There were sections that required careful route-finding, utilizing shallow cracks and small pockets. The exposure grew with every meter, and looking down offered a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding landscape. Reaching the summit, the sense of accomplishment was immense. The wind whispered past, and the views across the forested valleys were truly spectacular, a fitting reward for the effort. The rappel back down was a chance to reflect on the successful climb. 'Legendre' proved to be a fantastic route, living up to its reputation and providing a memorable day out on the rock.
