Climbing "La Risa" (6+) is an experience etched into my memory. The rock, a rough, sun-baked limestone, felt alive beneath my fingers, each hold a story etched by wind and weather. The initial overhang demanded commitment; a powerful pull followed by a delicate traverse right, finding purchase where seemingly none existed. The crux, higher up, was a series of crimps and slopers, requiring precise footwork and unwavering focus. A moment's hesitation meant certain ejection. The exposure grew with every meter gained, the valley sprawling beneath me, a constant reminder of the airy heights. Finally, reaching the anchor, bathed in the golden light of the setting sun, a wave of exhilaration washed over me. The laughter (La Risa, after all) wasn't just in the name, it was in the very joy of the climb, the feeling of accomplishment, and the sheer beauty of the surrounding landscape. A truly unforgettable route.
