Steinbeisser - Falkenstein - Wolfgangsee

Today, the challenge was 'Steinbeisser', a grade 7 classic, a route whose very name, 'Stonebiter', hinted at its demanding nature.

The approach, a relatively short but steep hike, offered ever-improving vistas of the shimmering lake. As we geared up at the base, the sheer scale of the rock face became apparent, promising sustained vertical effort.

From the first meters, 'Steinbeisser' proved its reputation. It's a route of delicate balance, precise footwork, and unforgiving crimps.
