The call of 'Spanische Bären - Verlorener Turm,' a formidable 8- challenge on the elusive Lost Tower, had resonated with me for months. Our journey began with a pre-dawn approach, the air crisp and the silhouette of the tower gradually emerging against the lightening sky. The first few pitches served as a majestic warm-up, leading us higher into the tower's embrace. Then came the crux – the relentless 8- sections. Each hold felt meticulously placed by nature, demanding absolute precision, powerful finger strength, and unwavering mental fortitude. The exposure was breathtaking, a dizzying void stretching hundreds of meters below, amplifying every breath and movement. Reaching the summit felt like an ascent into another realm; the 360-degree panorama of jagged peaks and an endless sky was our reward. After a moment of profound silence and awe, we began our intricate descent, carefully rappelling back down the face we had just conquered. Returning to the base as twilight deepened, weary but profoundly fulfilled, the echoes of 'Spanische Bären' lingered – a truly unforgettable dance on vertical rock.
