Today we successfully climbed 'Carnarium', a fantastic route located in the picturesque region of Lower Austria. Graded 5-, it offered a really enjoyable and accessible challenge. The rock, primarily solid limestone, provided excellent friction and reliable holds throughout. While a 5- isn't overly difficult, sections of 'Carnarium' felt surprisingly exposed, particularly on the upper pitches, adding a thrilling element to the ascent. The panoramic views over the rolling hills, dense forests, and quaint villages of Lower Austria were absolutely breathtaking, making every meter gained worthwhile. Reaching the summit, we were filled with a profound sense of accomplishment. It was a perfect day, combining the joy of climbing with the stunning natural beauty of the Austrian landscape.
