I recently had the chance to try the infamous "Noření – projekt" in Městečko. This route, whose grade remains elusive (project routes are notoriously hard to grade accurately!), is a true test of strength, technique, and mental fortitude. The rock in Městečko is beautifully textured, providing both advantages and challenges. "Noření" (meaning "Immersion" in Czech) lives up to its name. You're immediately immersed in a world of steep, overhanging rock, with a series of powerful moves on small crimps and pockets. The crux sequence involves a dyno to a sloper, followed by some tricky footwork to maintain position and reach for a distant hold. The holds are unforgiving, demanding precise placement and relentless core engagement. While I didn't manage a clean send, I made significant progress and gained a deeper appreciation for the dedication and skill required to unlock this impressive line. It's a route that lingers in your mind, beckoning you back to try again. The challenge is exhilarating, and the satisfaction of even small improvements is incredibly rewarding. I'm eager to return and, hopefully, eventually conquer "Noření – projekt".
