Knollsteiglein

Climbing the "Knollsteiglein" (grade 4-) in Motzwandl is a delightful introduction to alpine climbing. While the grade suggests it's relatively easy, don't underestimate it! The route offers exposed traverses, exciting rock formations, and surprisingly varied climbing. The rock is generally solid, providing good friction, but be mindful of loose debris, especially higher up. The crux section might require some careful footwork and a good reach. The views from the top are stunning, offering a panorama of the surrounding mountains. It's a perfect climb for beginner alpinists looking to gain experience and confidence, as long as they are accompanied by an experienced climber or guide.
