Kleinod

Climbing 'Kleinod' in Sektor Bum Bum was a memorable experience! The grade 7- felt well-earned, presenting a good mix of technical footwork and powerful crimps. The rock was generally solid, but required careful attention to detail. The crux involved a tricky sequence through a slight overhang, demanding precise body positioning and a solid lock-off. While not the most aesthetically stunning route, the satisfaction of sticking the crux and topping out was immense. The name 'Kleinod' (meaning 'gem' or 'jewel') felt ironically appropriate, a small but valuable challenge tucked away in Bum Bum.
