Overview

Grade: 1

Climbing "Normálka" (grade 1) in Škuner is a classic and beginner-friendly experience. It's essentially a steep, rocky trail rather than a technical climb, making it accessible to most hikers and climbers with a reasonable level of fitness. The route follows a well-worn path with occasional scrambling, requiring minimal specialized equipment. Focus on solid foot placement and using your hands for balance. While not challenging technically, the views from the top of Škuner are rewarding, offering a panorama of the surrounding landscape. It's a great introduction to climbing in the Czech Republic and a perfect objective for a day hike with a bit of vertical gain.
