Climbing 'Happy End' on the Schwollwand in Steinplatte is an excellent adventure for those comfortable with routes graded 7+. This classic multi-pitch sport climbing route exemplifies the best of Steinplatte's limestone: steep, technical, and often pumpy. Each of its typically 3-4 pitches presents unique challenges, with the crux usually delivering the full 7+ experience through a series of crimps, pockets, and sometimes dynamic sequences on overhanging terrain. The Schwollwand lives up to its name, offering sustained, exposed climbing that demands good technique, endurance, and mental fortitude. As you ascend, the views of the surrounding Tyrolean and Salzburgian Alps become increasingly breathtaking, culminating in a truly 'happy end' at the top. This route is a testament to the quality of climbing in Steinplatte, providing a challenging yet incredibly rewarding experience for intermediate to advanced sport climbers. Descent is typically via abseil down the route.
