Climbing "Kryton" (grade 10) in Tlama was a brutal test of both physical and mental strength. The overhanging wall demanded constant core engagement and precise footwork. The crux sequence involved a powerful dyno to a small, sloping hold followed by a delicate traverse. Finding the right body position to maintain contact was key, and even after sticking the crux, the climb didn't relent, requiring sustained effort to reach the anchors. The rock itself was sharp and unforgiving, leaving its mark. Successfully topping out was immensely satisfying, a true testament to perseverance and a climb I won't soon forget. Tlama's atmosphere, rugged and secluded, only added to the overall challenge and reward.
