Weisses Beil

Ascending the 'Weisses Beil' (White Axe) in the remote and stunning Villgraten Mountains of East Tyrol is a truly formidable alpine rock climbing experience. Graded at a challenging 7+, the route demands precision, strength, and a cool head, offering sustained difficulties on its steep, often exposed sections. The granite or gneiss (typical for the region) is generally solid, but the sheer verticality and the length of the pitches ensure a full day of intense concentration.
