Climbing "Ad Astra Per Aspera" (7-) in Wildtöter was a true test of grit and determination. The route's name, 'Through hardship to the stars,' couldn't have been more fitting. From the very first pull, the overhanging wall demanded powerful moves and precise footwork. The initial crux involved a tricky sequence of crimps and sidepulls, requiring a burst of energy to overcome. After that, a sustained section of technical climbing led to a slightly better rest. However, the respite was short-lived, as another demanding sequence presented itself, this time involving a powerful dyno to a sloping hold. Clipping the chains at the top was a moment of pure satisfaction, a testament to the effort invested and the reward of pushing through the challenges. While not the hardest route I've ever climbed, "Ad Astra Per Aspera" left me feeling accomplished and ready for the next adventure.
