The route is incredibly exposed, winding its way through impressive rock formations and often crossing the roaring Gaisbergbach gorge on airy traverses. Climbers are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Ötztal Alps. Upon completing the climbing sections, the return typically involves a well-marked but still alpine path.
