Climbing "Oben bist du nie" (9-) at Angerstein am Gosaukamm was a truly memorable experience. The route is a test of both physical strength and technical precision. The rock is mostly solid limestone, but demands careful footwork and thoughtful sequencing. The crux, undoubtedly, lies somewhere in the middle section, involving a powerful lock-off followed by a delicate traverse. This move requires perfect body positioning and precise weight distribution to avoid peeling off. The exposure is significant, adding another layer of mental challenge to the climb. Reaching the anchor felt like a hard-earned victory, offering stunning views of the surrounding Gosaukamm mountains. It's a route that I highly recommend to experienced climbers seeking a demanding and rewarding alpine challenge.
