Asterix

Asterix is a classic climbing route on the Dachstein Mountains, offering a rewarding alpine experience at a moderate grade (4+). The route is known for its solid rock, exposed positions, and stunning views. While not overly difficult, it requires a good level of fitness and experience in alpine climbing, including the ability to place protection effectively and manage exposure. The crux of the route often involves a short, steeper section, but the overall climbing is enjoyable and varied. Expect pitches of face climbing, slabs, and some crack features. Reaching the summit provides breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Dachstein massif and the wider Austrian Alps. A truly memorable climb!
