Overview

Grade: 1

Climbing the "Normální cesta" (Normal Route) in Dolní Skalka is a classic introductory climb, perfect for beginners. Graded at UIAA 1, it's essentially a scramble with minimal technical difficulty. The route primarily involves walking and easy climbing over large, grippy holds. Expect mostly solid rock with occasional loose patches. The exposure is generally low, making it less intimidating for those new to climbing. While no specialized gear is strictly required, wearing approach shoes or light hiking boots with good grip is highly recommended. The view from the top, though not expansive, provides a nice perspective of the surrounding area and is a rewarding culmination of the short climb. Overall, "Normální cesta" offers a safe and enjoyable introduction to outdoor rock climbing in a beautiful natural setting.
