Ascending the 'Gran Diedro' (Grade 6-) in the stunning Due Laghi area was an unforgettable experience. True to its name, the route meticulously follows a majestic dihedral, offering sustained and technical climbing from start to finish. The rock quality was predominantly superb, providing reliable holds and excellent friction, making for a confident ascent. While the 6- grade doesn't suggest extreme difficulty, it demands consistent attention and thoughtful movement, especially on the exposed upper pitches. Each section presented its unique challenges, from delicate slab moves to powerful laybacks within the corner system. Reaching the summit brought immense satisfaction, rewarded by breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding jagged peaks and the serene, glistening lakes far below. The descent was straightforward, perfectly concluding a truly classic day on alpine rock.
