Winterkönigin

Climbing 'Winterkönigin' (6+) in Grossofen is a truly memorable experience. The route, located in a relatively sheltered sector, offers surprisingly sustained climbing for the area. The rock is generally solid, though some sections require careful footwork due to polish. Expect a mix of crimps, pockets, and the occasional traverse to keep you engaged. The crux usually lies around the middle of the route, demanding good technique and finger strength. While not exceptionally long, 'Winterkönigin' rewards consistent effort and a cool head. The atmosphere in Grossofen is usually quite pleasant, making it a great option for a day out, especially when other crags are too exposed to the elements.
