Krabbelplatte

Climbing the "Krabbelplatte" (grade 5-) in the Gutenstein Alps is a delightful experience for beginner to intermediate climbers. The route, whose name translates roughly to "Crawl Slab," aptly describes its character. It's a mostly low-angled slab climb, demanding careful footwork and a good understanding of friction. While the grade might seem moderate, don't underestimate the need for precise movements and well-placed protection. The rock, typically limestone, can be surprisingly smooth in places, requiring climbers to trust their rubber and maintain a focused approach.
