Climbing "Eiertanz" (grade 7) on Hauptwand was a memorable experience. The route's name, literally "egg dance", hints at the delicate and precise movements required to navigate its challenging sections. The rock quality on Hauptwand is generally excellent, but "Eiertanz" presented some particularly exposed traverses and tricky foot placements. Maintaining balance and finding the right holds were crucial to avoiding a fall. The crux move involved a committing reach to a small crimp followed by a powerful pull-up. The feeling of clipping the chains after successfully completing the route was incredibly rewarding, knowing I had conquered a demanding and beautiful climb on this iconic wall.
