Hochthronsteig

The Hochthronsteig on Hochthron is an extremely challenging via ferrata, graded 8/8+ (or E on the Klettersteig scale). It's renowned for its extreme exposure and very steep sections, demanding significant arm strength, endurance, and a solid head for heights. This route is definitely not for beginners and pushes even highly experienced climbers to their limits. The ascent offers breathtaking panoramic views, making the strenuous effort incredibly rewarding. After reaching the summit of Hochthron, the descent typically follows a well-marked hiking trail, allowing for a reflective return to the starting point.
