Climbing 'Anfängerglück' (Beginner's Luck) on the imposing Jungmannschaftswand was an experience that truly lived up to its whimsical name, yet demanded every ounce of focus. Graded 7+/8-, this route on the 'Young Team Wall' is known for its sustained, technical climbing. For a route named 'Beginner's Luck,' it certainly felt like we needed a fair bit of it, combined with solid technique. The pitches were continuously engaging, with steep sections demanding precise footwork and powerful moves. The rock quality was superb, offering excellent friction, but the exposure grew with every meter. The crux felt like a true test, a sequence of delicate slab moves followed by an overhanging pull, pushing the limits of the 7+/8- grade. Reaching the anchors at the top, a wave of satisfaction washed over us. The views from the Jungmannschaftswand were breathtaking, a just reward for the effort. It wasn't just a physical challenge; it was a mental one, proving that sometimes, 'beginner's luck' is earned through perseverance and good partnership.
