The ascent of 'Via Kasakarl' on the legendary Kasawand, graded at a formidable 7+, was an unforgettable experience. Known for its steep, technical sections and exposed traverses, the route truly tests a climber's precision, endurance, and mental fortitude. The rock, a superb quality compact limestone, offered excellent friction but demanded relentless focus, especially through the sustained cruxes that seemed to float in the void. Every meter climbed revealed increasingly breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys, making the physical exertion utterly worthwhile. Reaching the summit felt like a profound accomplishment, a testament to meticulous planning and unwavering teamwork. The descent, primarily by a series of efficient rappels down the adjacent route, was swift, bringing us back to the base just as dusk settled, leaving us with a deep sense of satisfaction and the memory of a truly grand adventure.
