Our destination for the day was the inviting Kleine Prossetwand, and our chosen warm-up, the route aptly named 'Im Wald,' a gentle 3-. The approach through the rustling forest set a peaceful tone. The rock itself, solid and welcoming, offered generous holds right from the start. Each move felt intuitive, a natural progression upwards. The route winds pleasantly, mostly through a section shaded by tall trees, offering a sense of calm and focus. There were no real cruxes, just a continuous, enjoyable climb that allowed us to appreciate the texture of the rock and the subtle breeze. Reaching the anchor felt less like an achievement against difficulty and more like a gentle arrival. The view from the top, framed by the surrounding trees, was serene. A quick rappel brought us back down, leaving us refreshed and ready for more. 'Im Wald' is more than just a climb; it's a pleasant forest stroll on a vertical plane, a perfect introduction to the joys of the Kleine Prossetwand.
