We embarked on a delightful climb of the 'Haselnußkamin' (Hazelnut Chimney), a classic route nestled within the 'Kletterfels Hahnmühle - Rechter Teil'. Graded III, it's an ideal choice for climbers looking for an engaging yet accessible experience, whether beginners gaining confidence or seasoned climbers enjoying a relaxed day out.

The route itself is a charming chimney, living up to its name with a cozy, almost snug feel. The climbing involves classic chimney technique, utilizing opposition with back and feet, complemented by surprisingly good holds on both walls. The rock quality was excellent, offering reliable friction throughout. We found the ascent to be intuitive and secure, without any overly exposed sections, which made for a very pleasant and confident climb.

Reaching the top, we were greeted with serene views over the surrounding landscape, a perfect reward for our efforts. The atmosphere at Hahnmühle was tranquil, providing a wonderful escape into nature. The descent was straightforward, typically involving a short walk-off or a simple abseil from a nearby anchor.

Climbing the 'Haselnußkamin' was a truly enjoyable experience. It beautifully encapsulates the appeal of Grade III climbing – it's fun, offers genuine climbing movements, and creates lasting memories without extreme demands. Highly recommended for anyone visiting this charming climbing area!
