Rope Length: 70m

Tackling 'Frage der Zeit' on Kreuzmauer 3. Turm, a route graded 7, was a significant objective. The name itself, 'Question of Time,' seemed to perfectly encapsulate the challenge – not just of physical endurance, but of mental readiness and patience. The climb itself is a magnificent journey up alpine limestone, offering a diverse range of challenges. Pitches varied from delicate slab climbing requiring precise footwork and absolute focus, to exposed, athletic sections on surprisingly grippy rock. As we ascended the Third Turm, the views across the Styrian Alps became increasingly breathtaking, providing a stunning backdrop to the demanding cruxes. These key sections often involved significant runouts, truly testing our mental fortitude and commitment. Reaching the summit, with the wind whipping around us and a profound sense of accomplishment, was an immense reward. The route's name resonated even more strongly then; it wasn't just a question of *if* we could climb it, but *when* all elements – skill, courage, and the mountain's mood – would align for that perfect ascent. A truly memorable alpine experience.
