Důchodce

Today I climbed 'Důchodce' (grade 7/7+) in Kryl, Czech Republic, and it was an absolute battle! The route name, which translates to 'Pensioner' in English, is quite ironic considering how much fight this climb packed. The initial crimps demanded precision and serious finger strength. The crux move involved a dynamic reach to a sloping hold followed by a desperate lock-off. Several times I nearly peeled, but managed to hang on. The sense of accomplishment topping out was immense. Definitely a climb I'll remember, and a great test piece for the area!
