The ascent follows the central chimney, which borders the Forest Wall on the right. In winter, it is often filled with water ice and offers good opportunities for practicing ice climbing. Directly up the chimney under a large overhang (to the left, a belay station with a chain). From there, either along the ledge under the overhang to the right and up into the summit gully, or to the left into the corner and along the crack with protection to the summit. The corner can be protected with cams/nuts. A classic and long route, sometimes damp.
