Climbing "It's The Nichest Railway To" (8/8+) in Lovesickness was a battle of attrition and raw power. The route begins with a relentlessly steep section of pockets and crimps, demanding precision footwork and unwavering core strength. Finding the right sequence through this lower crux was key; each move felt tenuous, a constant fight against gravity. After that initial burst, a slight respite allows for some much-needed recovery before the upper crux – a dynamic move to a distant, sloping hold. Committing to that move felt like a leap of faith, hoping fingers would stick and momentum would carry me through. Even after sticking the hold, the angle remained unforgiving, requiring sustained power endurance to reach the finishing jug. The feeling of clipping the chains after that struggle was pure elation. Definitely a climb that tests both physical and mental fortitude!
