Climbing "Monkey Circus" (grade 7) on the "Meistersteig" felt like a true test of both strength and technique. The route's name perfectly captures its character – a playful yet demanding sequence of crimps, slopers, and dynamic moves. The rock was generally solid, but required careful footwork to avoid slipping off the polished holds. The crux, for me, was definitely the powerful cross-over move to gain the good hold above, demanding a precise body position and a strong core. The feeling of clipping the chains after navigating the final few moves was immensely rewarding, a satisfying end to a challenging and entertaining climb on a beautiful piece of rock.
