Climbing the Via Nereidi on Monte Colt's San Paolo Nord is a truly rewarding experience. This route, graded 6-/6, offers a beautiful and engaging line up a stunning rock face. The climbing is generally technical and requires good footwork and finger strength. Expect well-protected pitches with a mix of face climbing, delicate traverses, and potentially some exposed sections. While not overly strenuous, the sustained nature of the route demands endurance and careful route finding. The views from the top of Arco San Paolo are spectacular, making the effort well worthwhile. The overall atmosphere is one of peace and solitude, far from the crowded crags. Be sure to bring a good rack of quickdraws, a 60m rope, and a few longer slings for potential rope drag.
