Climbing "Zadní boulder" (grade 3) in "Mordor" is a surprisingly pleasant experience for a location with such a foreboding name. The rock, while perhaps a bit rough around the edges, offers good friction and holds that are generally positive. The route itself is straightforward, demanding more balance and controlled movement than raw power. Finding the right foot placements is key to navigating the subtle overhang near the top. Despite the ominous surroundings suggested by "Mordor", the actual climb is quite enjoyable and a good introduction to bouldering in the area. The sense of accomplishment after topping out, even on a relatively easy route, is amplified by the dramatic landscape.
