Climbing "Schlumperli" (grade 6) in Obere Wand is a rewarding experience. The route, while not exceedingly difficult, demands precise footwork and thoughtful route-finding. The rock is generally solid, offering good friction and positive holds. Expect some sustained sections requiring a good power endurance base. The crux often lies in a small roof pull or a delicate traverse, demanding body positioning and a good understanding of leveraging your weight. The views from the top are spectacular, making the effort well worth it. Be sure to check conditions beforehand, as the Obere Wand can be affected by weather and seasonal changes.
