Overview

Grade: 3+

Climbing 'Mešan' at Pernštejn Castle is a rewarding experience for beginner to intermediate climbers. Rated at 3+ on the UIAA scale, it offers a good introduction to multi-pitch climbing in a historical setting. The rock is typically solid limestone, providing secure holds. The route is relatively short and well-protected, making it a good choice for those new to trad climbing or leading. However, like all climbing, it's crucial to check the condition of the gear and rock before committing to any moves. Proper belaying techniques and communication are also essential. The views from the top, overlooking the picturesque Moravian countryside surrounding Pernštejn Castle, are a definite highlight and make the climb even more memorable.
