Černá sjezdovka is a legendary and extremely challenging rock climb located on the impressive 'Sfinga' (Sphinx) formation in the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks, a renowned sandstone climbing area in the Czech Republic. The name 'Black Ski Slope' metaphorically refers to its steepness and demanding nature. Graded XIa on the UIAA scale (or IX Saxon), it represents a significant challenge even for very experienced climbers. The route is characterized by its incredibly steep and sustained climbing on typical Adršpach sandstone, often involving intricate sequences, small crimps, and a significant mental game due to the traditional protection (knots and slings placed in cracks). It is considered one of the iconic hard routes in the region, demanding advanced technique, strength, endurance, and a strong head for committing moves and sparse protection.
