Climbing "Ryba" (meaning "Fish" in Czech), a grade 6- route in the "Štěpánek" area, is a classic experience for climbers visiting this Czech sandstone paradise. "Štěpánek", known for its beautiful towers and varied climbing styles, offers a unique challenge. "Ryba", typically ascended in the traditional way with slings and nuts (friends are rarely, if ever, allowed) demands careful footwork, precise placement of protection, and a calm head. The rock can be quite smooth and demanding. The sense of achievement after topping out on this route, surrounded by the stunning scenery of "Štěpánek", is incredibly rewarding.
