Route in shadow
Climbing "Parodie na spáru" (4+) in the "Tunel" sector is a quintessential experience for any trad climber visiting Adršpach. The route, while relatively short, offers a good introduction to Adršpach sandstone crack climbing. The crack itself is mostly hand-sized, providing opportunities for solid jams and rests. The rock is generally quite featured, allowing for good feet. While the grade is moderate, the characteristic runouts and reliance on natural protection (placing your own cams and nuts) demand careful route finding and good judgment. Setting bomber gear is key to a confident and enjoyable ascent. Remember to bring a good selection of cams in the mid-sized range, and take your time to appreciate the unique atmosphere of climbing in the heart of the sandstone labyrinth.
