The call of 'Beast of Burden,' a formidable 7+/8- in the heart of Tyrol, was impossible to resist. From the moment we approached its base, the sheer rock face loomed, promising both challenge and immense reward. The lower sections demanded delicate precision on small holds, gradually transitioning into more sustained, pumpy moves as the angle steepened. Each sequence was a puzzle, requiring a blend of power, balance, and unwavering focus. The name itself felt apt; it was a physical and mental burden lifted only by the rhythm of breath and movement. Halfway up, with the valley spreading out beneath us, the breathtaking Tyrolean panorama offered a moment of awe amidst the struggle. Reaching the anchors, utterly spent but incredibly exhilarated, was a triumph. The 'Beast' truly lived up to its name, offering a rigorous test that culminated in an unforgettable ascent and views that etch themselves into memory.
