Diagonale

Climbing the 'Diagonale' (UIAA 6-) in the Upper Austrian Prealps is a true alpine classic, typically referring to the striking route on the Schafbergspitze, a prominent peak offering incredible views over the Salzkammergut lakes. Graded 6- (UIAA), it's not extreme by modern sport climbing standards, but don't let the 'minus' fool you; it's a serious and committing alpine undertaking.
