Climbing the "Nordostkante" (Northeast Ridge) on Western Karwendelspitze is a classic alpine route in the Karwendel range, known for its exposed position and sustained climbing at a moderate difficulty level (typically graded 4+ UIAA). The route offers breathtaking panoramic views, particularly as you ascend the ridge. Expect mostly solid limestone rock, but be prepared for some loose sections, especially on ledges and in gullies.
