Winkler Südwand

Climbing the "Winkler Südwand" (South Face) on the "Winklerturm" is a classic alpine adventure, typically graded around 4+ (UIAA). It offers a rewarding experience for climbers comfortable with moderate rock climbing and some exposure. The route generally follows prominent cracks and ledges up the sun-drenched south face, demanding solid footwork and confident hand placements. Expect sections that require careful route-finding, especially on less-traveled variations. Protection is usually adequate with a mix of existing pitons and opportunities for placing your own gear (cams and nuts).
