If climbing a route primarily intended for free climbing using aid techniques (using gear for progress), the following restrictions apply:

  • ✔ Allowed: Use only removable protection (e.g., nuts, cams, slings) that leaves no trace.
  • ✘ Forbidden: It is strictly forbidden to use any protection placed with a hammer or drilling (pitons, bolts, expansion bolts).
